The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Mallam Shehu Mohammed, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid el Fitr

In a Sallah Message the Corps Marshal commended the faithful for their devotion, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout the holy month, urging them to sustain the virtues of love, patience, selflessness, and peaceful coexistence which define the Ramadan period.

He emphasised that the values of restraint, sacrifice, and care for others are critical to promoting safety on Nigerian roads, noting that many road traffic crashes are avoidable when road users act with patience and consideration.

He therefore called on motorists, pedestrians, and all road users to imbibe these lessons, especially during the festive period, by obeying traffic regulations, avoiding dangerous driving, and prioritising the safety of lives and property.

While wishing the Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous celebration, the Corps Marshal reaffirmed the commitment of the FRSC to ensuring safer roads through sustained patrols, strategic deployment of personnel, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders nationwide.

The FRSC Boss further urged members of the public to support the Corps’ efforts by promptly reporting road crashes and emergencies through the FRSC toll-free emergency line 122 to enable timely response and lifesaving interventions.
