Senate Press Corps Felicitates Tribune General Editor, Taiwo Adisa, on Attainment of PhD
The Senate Press Corps, National Assembly, Abuja, has congratulated the General Editor of the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, on the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Taiye Odewale, and Secretary, Atekojo Samson Usman, the Corps described the academic feat as a significant milestone, noting that Adisa specialised in Political Communication.
According to the statement, the Senate Press Corps found his area of specialisation particularly exciting, considering his outstanding trajectory and long-standing contributions to the media profession over the years.
The Corps further noted that Adisa’s membership of the Senate Press Corps has set him apart as a highly respected veteran journalist, earning him the affectionate nickname “Group or Leader” among his colleagues.
While congratulating him on the well-deserved honour, the Corps wished Adisa greater accomplishments and continued fulfilment in his professional and personal endeavours.
The statement read in part: “The entire members of the Senate Press Corps heartily congratulate you on the well-deserved Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Media Arts, conferred on you by the University of Abuja on Monday, November 24, 2025.
“Your specialty in Political Communication is very thrilling to us, given your enviable trajectory in the media profession over the years, including your distinguished service as a respected veteran member of the Senate Press Corps, fondly referred to as ‘Group or Leader’.
“We wish you more glorious attainments and humanity-enhancing feats in life.”
