The Patronization Of Ministries By My Church Members

Most beloved parishioners. I have been getting reports from some members of the Parish on how many of my parishioners have turned into church hunters, seeking for signs, miracles and wonders.

As your pastor, I have no power to stop you from going where you think you could get relief from your pains and worries. You are the one that wear the shoes and know exactly where the pains not only coming from but the depth of their intensity.

All I owe you is to direct and counsel you well to avoid you jumping from frying pan into fire.

Catholic Church may not have the razzmataz and boisterous manner of ministrations that characterized those churches you admire , but there is a depth of sacredness, the unusual presence of divinity and the indescribable history of mind blowing miracles, signs and wonders that happen daily at Mass.

They may not have the sound of publicity, not in any way dramatic and the social media may not trend them, right inside the sacredness of the liturgy, the rituals, the dogmas etc the power of God’s miracles show forth daily.

Read through the history of the Catholic Church, I challenge you, you would be awed and your mind blown on the number of tears stiring miracles that happened in the Catholic Church daily.

Have you heard about Saint Denis, who was the first Bishop of Paris, martyred by beheading on the hill of Montmartre (which means “Mountain of Martyrs”) around 250 AD. After his head was severed, his body miraculously rose, picked up the head, and walked for several miles (roughly six miles or ten kilometers), all the while delivering a sermon on repentance?

Have you heard about Our Lady of Fátima and the “Miracle of the Sun” (Fátima, Portugal, 1917): One of the most famous and publicly witnessed miracles?

What about Our Lady of Guadalupe (Mexico, 1531): The Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego, leaving her image miraculously imprinted on his tilma (cloak)?

What about the Miracle of Lanciano (Italy, 8th Century): A Basilian monk who doubted the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist found that during Mass, the bread and wine truly changed into physical flesh and blood. The relics are preserved to this day?

What about the Eucharistic Miracles of Buenos Aires (Argentina, 1990s) Where consecrated Hosts, which had been placed in water to dissolve, instead transformed into bloody human tissue?.

There are too many of such miracles, scientifically proven. Read books on church history and you would be amazed the numerous miracles, signs and wonders that Catholic Church embodies, which none of these churches you run around for miracles has.

I am not telling you not to go to those churches for your miracles. All I am saying is for you to be patient, decerning and understand the kind of church Catholic Church is, may be you may find reason to learn and discover the basic principles of accessing God’s blessings, real one without being scamed or subjected to the more you look the less you see miracles.

I understand your yearnings for miracles, signs and wonders, however such shouldn’t be an excuse to do things very ungodly and unchristain. Seek first the Kingdom, seek first life in Christ Jesus, purity in thoughts, holiness in act, every other things would be added to you.

I am you Priest Fada Blunt I wouldn’t deceive you.
