Tragedy Hits Senator Abba Moro’s Family as Son and Grandson Die Within Two Days

A wave of grief has descended on the family of the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, following the heartbreaking loss of his son, Peter, and his grandson within just two days.

It was gathered that Peter, who had recently completed his studies in Turkey, returned to Nigeria to take part in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. Tragically, his life was cut short in a fatal motor accident along the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State, barely 24 hours after the burial of his father’s grandson.

Reports revealed that the younger Moro was travelling from the family home to attend to personal matters when the accident occurred.

The shocking incident has plunged the lawmaker’s family and close associates into deep mourning, with many describing the double tragedy as a devastating blow.

The remains of the deceased have been taken to Ugbokolo, in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, for burial.

Meanwhile, sympathisers have continued to visit both the Abuja and Ugbokolo residences of Senator Moro to commiserate with the grieving family.
