Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised three suicide bombers during an intelligence-driven operation along the Guduf–Pulka axis in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence and involved close cooperation between the troops and local volunteer forces.

This collaboration enabled security operatives to intercept the terrorists before they could execute planned attacks on civilians.
The sources disclosed that suicide vests and other components of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) recovered from the bombers were safely secured by the troops.
In addition, the troops reportedly inflicted heavy casualties on terrorist escorts accompanying the bombers, forcing the remaining fighters to flee towards the Mandara Mountains under sustained military pressure.
“During exploitation of the area, troops recovered four AK-47 rifles abandoned by the fleeing terrorists, while two motorcycles used by the terrorists were destroyed,” the sources said.
Preliminary intelligence assessments revealed that the neutralised suicide bombers were dispatched from the Mandara Mountains by the Ali Ngulde-led Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram.
The sources added that Operation Hadin Kai has intensified efforts to detect, track and neutralise suicide bombers and other terrorist elements operating within the enclave through improved human intelligence, communication intercepts and other intelligence-gathering measures.
They further noted that the Theatre Command has continued to strengthen collaboration with other security agencies and community-based volunteer groups across Borno and Yobe States to prevent attacks on soft targets.
Public enlightenment campaigns have also been scaled up to encourage residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or individuals within their communities.
Operation Hadin Kai, the sources stressed, remains committed to sustaining offensive pressure on terrorist elements, degrading their operational capabilities and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the theatre of operations.
