The Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027) has announced plans to intensify grassroots mobilisation across Northern Nigeria in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, while appealing to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to increase youth empowerment initiatives and political appointments.

The National Coordinator of the group, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, said ACT-2027 was deploying prayer meetings, youth integration programmes and public enlightenment initiatives to build support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ngbako, who also serves as a Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), made the appeal while praising Wike’s infrastructure development efforts in Abuja, particularly the pedestrian bridge recently commissioned by Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

He described the project as a demonstration of effective leadership and cooperation between government and private organisations, noting that the approval granted by Wike had resolved a request that reportedly remained pending for seven years.

According to him, the application for the bridge was first submitted in 2018 but received approval in February 2026 after the minister was reminded of the request.

Ngbako commended Wike for responding to the issue, saying the intervention demonstrated concern for residents’ safety and the need to address infrastructure deficiencies in the FCT.

He also praised Tinubu’s decision to appoint Wike as minister, describing the infrastructure projects across Abuja as significant contributions to the administration’s development agenda.

However, he urged the minister to extend his efforts beyond physical infrastructure by providing more political appointments for qualified stakeholders and expanding empowerment opportunities for young people.

Ngbako argued that youth inclusion in governance would enable more young Nigerians to contribute to policy implementation, community development and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

ACT-2027 Schedules Northern Prayer Meetings

As part of its political engagement ahead of the 2027 elections, the group is planning zonal prayer breakfasts across Northern Nigeria, culminating in a grand gathering in Abuja.

Ngbako announced that the first meeting would take place in the North-West on November 14, followed by Bauchi and subsequently Jos or Lafia.

The programme will end with a grand prayer breakfast in Abuja.

He said the initiative was designed to bring Christian leaders, women, youths and other supporters together to pray for Tinubu’s re-election, national unity, peace in Northern Nigeria and the country’s progress.

He called on Christian organisations and other stakeholders to participate in the meetings.

The coordinator also identified the National Gbagyi Youth Integration Festival (National GbagyiFe) for Tinubu Renewed Hope 2027, the FCT Abuja Youth Participation Action Community (FAYPAC 2027) and the Gbagyi Youth Association, FCT Abuja, as platforms for expanding grassroots mobilisation.

He said National GbagyiFe would cover Niger, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Kogi states, as well as the FCT, with the aim of promoting youth integration and political participation.

Group to Publish Book on Tinubu’s 52 Economic Managers

Ngbako further disclosed that he is chairing the Editorial Board of a forthcoming book titled Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of Economy, which is expected to be launched in Abuja in December.

The publication will document the economic policies, reforms and activities of 52 key officials and institutions involved in managing the country’s economy.

Among the institutions expected to feature are the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Revenue Service, RMAFC and Nigerian National Petroleum Company, alongside ministers and other relevant officials.

Ngbako said the book would provide empirical information on the administration’s economic policies and the contributions of those responsible for implementing them.

He said the publication was also intended to improve public understanding of the government’s reforms, encourage informed engagement and counter misinformation about its economic policies.

He added that stakeholders, including Wike, were being invited to support the project.

Wike Says Dunamis Bridge Application Was Pending Since 2018

At the commissioning ceremony, Wike praised Dunamis International Gospel Centre and the Enenche family for undertaking the pedestrian bridge project as part of their corporate social responsibility.

The minister disclosed that the application for the project was submitted in 2018 but remained unattended until February 2026, when it was brought to his attention.

He said approval was granted within weeks of receiving the request.

“The application was made in 2018. It was in February 2026 when I was reminded. In less than a month you received approval. It means there is a government,” Wike said.

He stressed that government could not provide every infrastructure requirement on its own and called for more private-sector participation in projects that improve public welfare.

Wike also approved a request for the bridge to be roofed and made further commitments towards improving the facility.

He urged residents to use the pedestrian bridge, noting that dedicated pedestrian infrastructure was essential to reducing road accidents and protecting lives.

Formally commissioning the facility, he said: “As it has been constructed by Dunamis as its social responsibility as approved by me, I hereby commission this in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

The project highlights the potential of partnerships between public institutions and private organisations in addressing infrastructure gaps and improving safety in the FCT.
