2027: APC Candidate Vows to Champion Inclusion for Non-Indigenes in Nasarawa

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Karu/Gitata Constituency of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in the 2027 General Election, Hon. Abraham Habu Ekpo, has promised to initiate a law that would fully integrate non-indigenous people in Nasarawa State and provide them with benefits, privileges and a sense of belonging.
According to him, when passed, the proposed law would fully integrate people who have lived in the state and contributed positively to its development.
Speaking to party faithful during his endorsement as the APC candidate for the Karu/Gitata State Constituency,
Hon. Abraham Ekpo stressed the need for Nasarawa State to take the lead among other states by granting rights and privileges to law-abiding Nigerians who have lived, worked or conducted businesses in the state and contributed positively to its economic growth.
“There are people from other states, living and doing business.
I will ensure that those who lived here for decades, contributing meaningfully to the development of the state get some level of comfortability that would make them feel belonging,” the candidate said.
Also speaking, Comrade Adamu Ladan, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Strategic Communication to the Karu Local Government Chairman, Barr. Abubakar Aliyu Madaki, called on residents of the Karu/Gitata State Constituency to vote for Hon. Abraham Habu Ekpo in the 2027 election.
According to him, Ekpo is a detribalised figure whose service as Head of the Information and Protocol Unit of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and as the immediate past Secretary of the Karu Local Government Council, contributed not only to Karu but to Nasarawa State in general.
Comrade Ladan said the endorsement of the APC State House of Assembly candidate was organised by the Igbo community in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He assured the community that it had made the right decision, describing Abraham Ekpo as a tested and proven leader who genuinely has the interests of the people at heart.
Representing the South East Vanguard, Prince Emeka Turugo said people from the South East resident in Nasarawa State were being mobilised for political and economic inclusion to ensure the development of the state for the benefit of all.
According to Prince Turugo, although Igbo people are known for their strong focus on business, they are currently being encouraged to participate in politics through the South East Vanguard, particularly in Nasarawa State, and vote for the best candidates.
Prince Emeka Turugo assured that Igbos resident in Karu and Nasarawa State as a whole would continue to support Hon.
Ekpo and other APC candidates in their political aspirations, while remaining steadfast and committed to the political and economic development of the state.
