30-Year-Old Man Accused of Killing Father, Dumping Body in Well

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Peter Sinamai, for allegedly killing his father and dumping his body in an abandoned well in Sangere, Gombi Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect was arrested after a report was received by police operatives, leading to an investigation into the incident.
Confirming the arrest on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said preliminary investigations had linked the suspect to the alleged murder.
Nguroje said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly killed his father and disposed his body in a well within their community.”
The police said the victim’s body has been recovered from the well and deposited at a mortuary for autopsy.
The PPRO added that the suspect would be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, Kabiru Hassan, has directed a comprehensive investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
While condemning the alleged act, the commissioner assured residents that the command remained committed to protecting lives and ensuring justice.
He also urged members of the public to resolve family disputes through lawful and peaceful means and seek appropriate intervention whenever conflicts arise.
