Tinubu Nominates Enugu Attorney-General, Dr Kingsley Udeh, for Ministerial Appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has requested the Senate to confirm the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh for appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President’s request was contained in a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and read during plenary in Abuja.

Dr. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), currently serves as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.

In the letter, President Tinubu stated:
“I am pleased to forward to the Senate the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, for confirmation as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“While I hope that this request will receive the usual expeditious consideration of the Senate, please accept, Mr. Senate President and distinguished senators, the assurances of my highest regards.”

In his remarks, Senate President Godswill Akpabio referred the nomination to the Committee of the Whole for immediate consideration.
