An Eagle Not A Vulture!

I got into a discussion with someone few days ago . I was asked what I wanted.

Off the cuff I reeled out what I wanted, desired and nurtured in my heart for years.

Like a living water, it was flowing out from my belly. The next question that followed was, tell me about yourself? .

Hmmm! About myself? No problem, the easiest thing to do. If at this stage of my life I don’t know myself so well that I can talk about it even in dreams, semi consciousness or in an intoxicating influence of some 1869 brewed spirit, then there is a problem.

I am an Eagle not a vulture was the first thing I said. I am an Eagle, highly consecrated. My association isn’t below, down there, where crowd of all manner mill around, chit chatting, No! I live up there, floating and cruising in turbulence, making use of the elements of the weather to soar.

I am an Eagle not a vulture. I don’t eat any how. I am deliberate with what I eat. Nothing, not even hunger, economic situation and T- Pain circumstances would make me eat anything outside my menu.

I am an Eagle not a vulture, selective and sensitive to what I eat. What I kill, I eat!

I am an Eagle not a vulture, I don’t mate anyhow, I live a life of faithfulness, one mate partner for life, maintaining decency, integrity, morals and continence.

I am an Eagle not a vulture. My vision isn’t blurred. So sharp and distinct, having no confusion about it . I pick things from anywhere. So clear I can’t mix it up with the wishy-washy, messy stinking of the vulture.

I am an Eagle not a vulture. I have no time with enemies. I don’t bother myself fighting them. I have no time, bandying
words with them, I allow them scratch on my back undisturbed, but would soar into an altitude that makes them uncomfortable and choky, making breathing too difficult for them, on their own they would fall off my back.

I am an Eagle, my time is precious to begin to expend my precious energy on enemies. They don’t worth it.

I am an Eagle, my maturity may take time but my life span is incomparable with other birds. When old age comes and I desire to live longer, off to the mountain I would fly to , get revived, renewed and reinvigorated.

I am an Eagle, I have the capacity to fast for months to renew my strength for another years. I don’t walk, I am not meant to. I don’t run, such isn’t in my nature. I fly seldomly, in soaring, amidst turbulence my nature and in it my strength lies. I live and bask in it.

I am an Eagle not a vulture that preys greedily and ruthlessly on others, especially the helpless. I don’t take advantage, not an opportunist either.

I am an Eagle not a vulture. I don’t take advantage of someone who is in a very bad situation and makes a meal of it.

As I was saying all these, his eyes were on me, with rapt attention he stared. Can I be your friend, the only thing he could say. Hmmm! was my instinctive reaction. I am an Eagle! I kill what I eat, I pick my company, my association and my buddies, they don’t choose me.

My body mass may be small, but my strength to carry and lift things beyond my weight is massive. My inner strength is intimidating I am the king of the birds. I am not a land cruiser, I am an air bus, from above and above all and my flesh not to be devoured.
