The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has announced the imminent relaunch of four major social welfare initiatives—GEEP, N-Power, Grant for Vulnerable Groups (GVG), and the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP)—after the successful disbursement of funds to over 1.8 million beneficiaries by the National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO) and the National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO).

The disclosure was made by NSIPA’s National Coordinator and CEO, Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, PhD, during the opening ceremony of a management workshop held Wednesday in Abuja. Themed “Policy Development for Social Investment Programme Agency: Programme Implementation and Structure,” the event marked the agency’s first major strategic meeting under Dr. Badamasi’s leadership.

Dr. Badamasi affirmed that NSIPA remains committed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on poverty alleviation, economic inclusion, and equitable development. “We are at a pivotal moment in our journey, marked by renewed hope and a strengthened resolve under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” he said.

Highlighting the agency’s mandate, Dr. Badamasi stressed the importance of strong policy frameworks, strategic implementation, and institutional synergy to effectively tackle poverty and social inequality. He also emphasized the role of community involvement and public-private partnerships in ensuring programme sustainability and impact.
