Benue State Commissioner for Power, Renewable Energy and Transport, Barr. Omale Omale has returned thanks to God for his life and life achievements as he clocks 50 years of age.

Omale, who turned 50 years on Saturday, told newsmen in Makurdi that he is a very fulfilled man even though he didn’t meet some of his set projections at 50 years.

He said from adolescent age when he became a Christian, he knew God for himself and also knew what he wanted in life.

He said “Growing up I had a projection for 50. I was trusting God that at 50 I would have rapped up my activities and then move into retirement.

“What I was looking at was to have a very fulfilled career in legal practice, become a SAN or professor. But in between the lines came this necessary distraction, the struggles and driving force to get into the political space.

“It didn’t happen at 50, retirement is also not in sight and the other area we look forward is yet to be realized too.

“However, God again responded by causing this appointment, so I was like yeah, I am in my trade and in my trade this is the peak of it, recognition and appointment as a commissioner. The 50 years have been being very eventful and fulfilling for me,” he said.

He noted that all his life, he was among those in the trenches, driving the force for the enthronement of good governance in Nigeria.

“I knew God very early in my life. I also understood very early in my life that there is bound to be betrayals, disappointments, name calling among others. So I took the decision that I will never be disappointed in life no matter what happens.

“What I simply do is accept what happens as the will of God. I rationalize it and accept that what happened was for my own good, learn from the lessons and move on.

“So one cannot catch me staying or dwelling one second on any state of affairs that does not represent my expectations.

“That has been the source of my strength else there has being so much betrayal, backstabbing, negative name calling, snitching that I haven’t seen in my life.

Omale expressed gratitude to God, for his family and friends for all that he has achieved saying part of his life was shaped by his family upbringing, especially the military environment where he was born.

Omale who also appreciated his boss, Governor Hyacinth Alia for his appointment said the achievements in his ministry was a complete reflection and thinking of the governor whom he said has set his goals before becoming governor and was striving hard to actualize them.
