A Tribute to Abari Isa: A Shining Star in Nasarawa Broadcasting Service

Sunday, 24th August 2025, Abari Isa return to his Creator for his beautiful medals after an impactful race. For us as human, it was huge and painful blow. we mourn the loss of a dedicated journalist, a passionate storyteller, and a pillar of strength in the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS) family.

Abari Isa, our beloved colleague, Assignment Editor, and friend, left an indelible mark on our lives and the media landscape of Nasarawa State. His untimely passing has sent shockwaves of grief through our organization, leaving us with memories of his remarkable journey and the impact he had on those around him.

Born on March 18, 1983, Abari’s life was a testament to hard work, determination, and a passion for learning. He began his educational journey at Obi Central Primary School, later gaining admission to Government College Obi, where he excelled and graduated in 2000. His academic pursuits culminated in a degree in Geography from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2006. This solid educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future successes.

Abari’s career at NBS was nothing short of remarkable. Employed in 2009 on level 8/2, his dedication and professionalism earned him a confirmed appointment in 2011.

Over the years, he rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming the Assignment Editor, a position he held with distinction until his passing at level 13.

His commitment to journalism and his ability to navigate the complexities of the profession made him a respected figure in the media community. Health News can be better reported by him given his years of reportage on the beat.

Abari was a shining example of humility, simplicity, and sincerity. Despite his rising star, he remained grounded and approachable, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues. His hard work and diligence were evident in every assignment he tackled, and his sincerity inspired trust and confidence in those around him.

On August 8, 2025, fate dealt Abari a cruel blow. En route to co-anchor the Newspapers Review on TV, he was involved in a road accident that left him with a fractured leg. Despite his resilience and determination, his health took an unexpected turn for the worse.

After a brief period of recovery, during which he was set to start using crutches, Abari’s condition suddenly deteriorated. Rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital in Lafia with severe heart pains, he took his last breath, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.

Abari’s passing is not just a loss to NBS; it is a loss to his family, who depended on his love, guidance, and support. He leaves behind a wife and four children, who will undoubtedly cherish the memories of his devotion and fatherhood. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time, as they navigate the void left by his departure.

As we reflect on Abari’s life and career, we are reminded of the impact one individual can have on others. His humility, kindness, and professionalism inspired countless colleagues and friends. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to excellence set a high standard for others to follow. Abari’s legacy will live on through the stories he told, the lives he touched, and the memories we hold dear.

In the midst of our grief, we find solace in the knowledge that Abari Isa’s spirit will continue to inspire us. May his memory be a blessing to his family, friends, and colleagues. May his legacy serve as a reminder of the importance of living each day with purpose, passion, and dedication. Rest in peace, dear Abari. Your star may have dimmed, but your light will forever shine in our hearts.
