Ohafia APC Leaders Reaffirm Support for Tinubu, Pass Vote of Confidence on Orji Kalu, Benjamin Kalu

Leaders and major stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State have reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and commended the contributions of key party representatives.

At a well-attended meeting held on Friday, 29th August 2025, at Ikenga Plaza Hotel, Ebem Ohafia, the party leaders deliberated extensively on the prevailing political climate and the performance of elected representatives, after which several resolutions were unanimously adopted.

The stakeholders expressed unwavering support for President Tinubu’s administration, applauding his bold, innovative, and people-oriented economic policies designed to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth.

They also conveyed deep appreciation to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District, and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, for what they described as their exemplary leadership, quality representation, and significant contributions to national and local development.

In line with this, the stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, acknowledging their resilience, dedication, and steadfast commitment to the progressive ideals of the APC.

The meeting further commended all APC elected officials for their efforts in advancing the interests of the people and upholding the principles of good governance.

Developmental Contributions
The stakeholders highlighted Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s notable interventions across Ohafia LGA, including road construction and rehabilitation, the building and renovation of classroom blocks, installation of solar-powered street lights in Abiriba, Nkporo, and Ohafia clans, youth empowerment initiatives, women support schemes, and agricultural development programs.

“These projects have had direct and lasting impacts on the socio-economic well-being of our people,” the communiqué stated, while urging Senator Kalu to sustain his developmental strides and continue prioritizing community welfare.

The meeting also appealed for greater inclusion of Ohafia indigenes in federal appointments, stressing that their loyalty and support for the APC should translate into active participation in governance at the national level.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, the stakeholders pledged overwhelming support for President Tinubu and Senator Kalu, expressing confidence that their visionary leadership would yield even greater development for Ohafia LGA and Abia North Senatorial District.
