A 55-year-old man, Adamu Mohammed, from Zahi Village in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has been abducted and accused of witchcraft by members of a neighbouring community.

According to his son, Umaru Adamu, the incident occurred on September 19, 2025, when a group of men from Dangarfa Village stormed their home, abducted his father, stripped him naked, beat him, and threatened to kill him.

The assailants allegedly forced Mohammed to cross over a sick woman, Hajiya Zuwaira Bature, three times, accusing him of being responsible for her illness. They later took him to a local chemist for treatment.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed that one of the suspects, Abdulwahabu Abdulrahman, eventually took the victim to his house but later claimed that Mohammed escaped to an unknown destination.

So far, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the case, while security agencies continue efforts to trace the victim’s whereabouts and apprehend the remaining culprits.
