The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has urged staff of the Commission to demonstrate renewed commitment to ethics, accountability, transparency, and professionalism as the NCPC commences its 2025 Staff Training Workshop.

This was contained in a statement issued by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations of the Commission.

Declaring the workshop open at the Army Resort Center, Mambilla Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja, Bishop Adegbite described the training as a crucial initiative aimed at strengthening staff capacity, improving administrative efficiency, and enhancing overall service delivery within the Commission.

He reminded participants of the NCPC’s corporate slogan, “Service and Satisfaction,” urging them to uphold it with diligence, godliness, dedication, and devotion.

The theme of this year’s workshop, “Ethics, Transparency and Accountability in Public Service,” underscores the Commission’s focus on integrity and performance. Bishop Adegbite stressed that staff must be more dedicated, resourceful, and result-oriented to prevent stagnation.

“If you are not responsible to yourself, you can never be responsible to the organization, because you cannot give what you do not have,” he stated. He further emphasized teamwork as a key ingredient in achieving corporate goals and warned against acts of eye service.
