A skit maker, fond of using sountane to make his skits, portraying Rev. Frs. and Rev. Srs in a very bad light.

Recently there is this skit of his making rounds on social media, where Priests, Rev. Sisters and parishioners were brandishing guns in the church for protection. Not only that it is circulating on social media , those circulating it are themselves Catholics. They like and share what is intrinsically a mockery of God’s invincible power.

He paints an image of God who is weak to protect his people from the smoking guns of bandits. A people beaten to pulp, pummelled and allowed to run with fear, having trust in chariots, in guns and matchete than in God who is all knowing and all powerful.

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” This should be the creed and gloria of any Christian who knows their worth and their place in Christ Jesus.

Such skit was an attempt to discredit God’ power and rub cow dung on it. To those who are still sane , it would provoke troubling questions such as

Is God too weak to protect His own?
Can God not shield His people?
Is Prayer is no longer powerful?
Is Faith is not enough?
Do human weapons offer more security than divine presence?

But the truth is, God has never needed human weapons to protect His People The God who shut the mouths of lions, parted seas, brought down walls with a shout, and blinded armies never required spears, knives, or bullets to defend His own.

To depict priests, Rev. Sisters, Christians running to guns for protection is to forget that: The battle is the Lord’s.” (1 Samuel 17:47)

“The Lord is our light and our salvation—whom shall we fear?” (Psalm 27:1) “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17) Those Who Trust in Weapons Will Fall

The truth is Deacon Famous through some of his skits is wounding the body of Christ. He is planting bad seeds in the minds of Christians who are fickle and weak, creating a picture of a God who is weak in their minds.

A priest holding a gun in the church though a skit, presents God as a weakling and the power of God expressed in the scriptures as mere stories. Such skits send wrong message to children watching. Affects believers struggling with their faith, fueling the more unbelievers’ faithlessnes

The Church is the house of faith, not of firearms.
The altar is a place of sacrifice, not self-defense drills. The cassock and habit symbolize surrender, not survival tactics.

Deacon Famous should stop using the church, especially Catholic Church as his instrument of mockery. He is inadvertently creating faithlessness and tearing the very values and integrity of the Catholic Church to great disrepute.

The weakness lies not in God but in our generation’s shallow faith, in our eagerness to see result without being cooked with the word of God, sitting patiently in his presence.

Let Deacon Famous use his Infamous skits to laugh at God. However, we believers should remember that

“Some trust in chariots, some in horses,
but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God.

This is not the first time Deacon Famous is using Catholic Church to create skits in denigration . It is high time he stopped. There are raw materials he can use to create skits that would trend and earn him dollars. The integrity and value of the Catholic Church are sacred to be mocked through skits.
