The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, applauding ongoing structural reforms and policy measures designed to reposition Nigeria for sustainable development.
Speaking at a World Press Conference, the Movement’s National Coordinator, Ambassador Isaac Chigozie Udeh, described the occasion as a significant milestone in its nationwide mobilization campaign in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He stated that the Movement was formed to rally grassroots support for President Tinubu, foster civic responsibility, and ensure that government policies are effectively communicated to rural and underserved communities.
Ambassador Udeh outlined major reforms introduced since May 29, 2023, including the removal of the fuel subsidy and the harmonization of the foreign exchange system, both aimed at restoring fiscal discipline and rebuilding investor confidence.
He acknowledged that although the reforms posed short-term challenges, they have helped stabilize the macroeconomic environment, ease fiscal pressures, and strengthen foreign exchange reserves.
On fiscal matters, the Movement highlighted the reduction in debt servicing obligations and the successful repayment of Nigeria’s $4.61 billion debt to the IMF, which it said has improved the country’s international financial standing.
The group also pointed to youth-centered initiatives such as skills acquisition programs, support for micro, small, and medium enterprises, and empowerment schemes intended to boost job creation.
In the education sector, Ambassador Udeh referenced the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, expanded scholarship schemes, and school feeding programs as efforts to enhance human capital development.
He further noted the approval of a new national minimum wage, the expansion of nano-grant programs, and livelihood support initiatives aimed at cushioning vulnerable groups.
Addressing infrastructure and agriculture, he cited major road construction projects, improved port efficiency, agricultural mechanization efforts, and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as strategic investments to strengthen connectivity, trade, and food security.
Ambassador Udeh described the administration’s tax reforms as measures to streamline the tax system, broaden the tax base, and create a more business-friendly climate without placing undue strain on small businesses.
He also recognized continued efforts in anti-corruption, national security, and diplomacy, noting renewed investor interest in sectors such as energy, ICT, agriculture, and transportation.
After consultations, the Movement declared its full support for President Tinubu’s re-election and the anticipated victory of the APC, pledging sustained grassroots mobilization and civic engagement.
The National Youth Leader, Dr. Uko Udo Nna, reaffirmed the youth wing’s loyalty to the President, highlighting the Movement’s expansion into one of the largest presidential support platforms in Nigeria and across Africa.
Dr. Nna assured that the youth wing remains united and dedicated to advancing policies that drive national development, economic recovery, and inclusive growth.
Deputy National Women Leader, Fatima Yahaya Emilugi, commended the administration for promoting youth empowerment and inclusive governance, citing postgraduate support initiatives, youth entrepreneurship programs, and assistance for small-scale enterprises.
She emphasized tax relief measures for small businesses and low-income earners as vital drivers of growth, innovation, and sustainability, and reiterated the commitment of the women and youth wings to active grassroots mobilization.
Ms. Emilugi concluded by passing a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, affirming that young Nigerians will continue to participate in voter registration drives, civic engagement activities, and nationwide mobilization efforts toward a decisive victory in the 2027 elections.
