The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has urged residents and eligible voters to actively participate in the forthcoming FCT area council elections, encouraging them to elect candidates capable of effectively representing their interests and collaborating with authorities to attract development.

In a video circulated by Channels Television, the minister stressed the need to choose leaders who can maintain constructive engagement with government officials to foster progress in their respective communities. He noted that effective leadership thrives on cooperation and alignment, advising voters to be deliberate in selecting those who will speak for them.
According to him, “Do your own on Saturday and leave the other one for me. All those politicians that come to tell stories, I’m not among them. My own is talk and do. So, I told this man, I said, ‘Look, you have to vote for somebody that can talk to me, and I’ll listen to him.’ You should not vote for somebody that when I go left, he goes right; when I go front, he goes back.’”
