Dunamis Founders Honoured by FRSC, Donate Patrol Vehicle to Boost Emergency Response
The Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr Mrs Becky Enenche, on Sunday donated a patrol vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Fire Service operating along Airport Road in Lugbe, Abuja.
The donation is part of the church’s sustained commitment to strengthening public safety and emergency response services within the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Pastor Enenche explained that the gesture aligns with the ministry’s dedication to “serving God and serving humanity,” stressing that genuine love for God must be reflected in practical love for people.
“What we are doing right now is to ensure that lives are saved and to make the work easier for the personnel.
“We want to see people fulfill their days instead of living in fear because of safety concerns,” he said.
The cleric further noted that as the agency responsible for road safety, the FRSC was a natural partner in efforts to reduce accidents and tragedies to the barest minimum.
“While we pray, we also take action. Our strength is in the Lord. When God places a burden on your heart, it is because He is concerned about humanity. You cannot walk closely with God and not feel deeply for people,” Enenche added.
As part of the initiative, Pastor Enenche also formally dedicated a fire service facility established by the church to handle emergencies along the Airport Road corridor.
“The fire truck and trained fire personnel are already on ground and will respond to emergency calls along Airport Road, whether it is a vehicle fire, a house fire, or any related incident,” he stated.
In her remarks, Dr Becky Enenche assured the public that more such interventions would follow, noting that the ministry has consistently extended support to various sectors across Nigeria and beyond.
Receiving the patrol vehicle on behalf of Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, Assistant Corps Marshal Godwin Omiko described the donation as a commendable gesture and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the example.
“Road safety is a shared responsibility. Today, Dunamis International has responded by supporting us in making the environment safer for motorists. The Corps Marshal is very pleased with this partnership,” he said.
He, however, reminded members of the church that the donation does not exempt anyone from obeying traffic regulations.
Similarly, the Federal Capital Territory Commandant, Felix Theman, expressed gratitude to Pastor Enenche and his wife for their ongoing support toward road safety operations.
The Corps also conferred on Pastor Enenche and his wife the highest honour of Honorary Special Marshals of the FRSC.
Describing the recognition as a call to greater responsibility, Theman stated:
“This honour carries significant responsibility. We are simply assigning you a label for more service, and we trust the Lord will strengthen you for it.”
He encouraged church members and viewers across different centres to follow the example by becoming advocates of road safety.
“Now that our Senior Pastor has become an advocate for safety, everyone here and those watching from viewing centres should also serve as road safety ambassadors by obeying traffic rules and avoiding overspeeding,” he added.
The Lugbe Unit Commander, Mr Muktar Garga, also expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that the Senior Pastor fulfilled the promise of the patrol vehicle within two weeks of a formal request.
