Eid-el-Fitr: CG VGN Felicitates With Muslims, Directs Officers To Compliment Efforts Of Formal Security Agencies During The Celebration

The Commander General of Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Dr. Usman Mohammed Jahun has felicitated with President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State and Muslim faithfuls as well as members of VGN nationwide on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He also stressed the need for them to use the period in rededicating their lives to the service of God and humanity.

He also advised them to continue to imbibe the lessons of the holy month of Ramadan through obedience to the teachings of Almighty Allah.

Dr. Usman Jahun equally urged wealthy muslims to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged before, v during and after Sallah towards given them a sense of belonging in the society.

The Commander General said members of VGN in the 36 States of the Federation and in all the 774 Local Governments in the country have been directed to compliment the efforts of formal security agencies in maintaining law and order as well as protect lives and property during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He used the opportunity to restate the commitment and support to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi’s led administrations towards actualizing its renewed hope agenda for Nigerians in the area of security.

Dr. Usman Jahun equally appealed for more support from the State and Local Governments in the area of logistics to aid the fight against banditry, kidnapping, boko haram, terrorism and other forms of insecurity confronting the country.

He therefore cautioned members of VGN against act detrimental to the objectives of the Organization.
