Dr Sulaiman Haruna: Celebrating Humanity, National, Community Service at Birthday,

There is no controversy about the successful stint of Engr (Dr) Sulaiman Haruna, NPOM, popularly know as “Brano” for many decades in the civil service.

He came , saw , conquered through delivery of his responsibility in all areas he served the nation as a core civil servant before his retirement.

Therefore, at retirement, he held his shoulder high among many of his colleagues, having served the nation diligently and to the best of his ability, knowledge.

Brano , popularly called by his peers and contemporaries while in service bagged the National Productivity Order Merit Award, NPOM, rare and the highest award in the land bestowed on him by the Nigeria government from the National Productivity Center, NPC.

This was basically due to his dedication to duty, loyalty, steadfastness, transparency and accountability in the course of his national assignment, all through the years among many other awards by other bodies.

With this giant strides in the civil service, these has placed him in a vantage position of continuing to occupy quasi- government positions and or political appointments and elective positions in a sane society of ours like Nigeria.

Having rising to a super Director , in charge of Strategic Grains Reserve Division SGRD for many years in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security that had placed the country in a safe haven of ensuring uninterrupted food supplies, emergencies and mitigation by the government, that avoided food crises or drought that ravaged many countries not minding the palpable economic situations across the globe .

That alone had placed him strategically into fitting into any envisaged positions both government and private sector, with a view to continue to contributing his wealth of experience and quota going forward.

Explicitly humane and down to earth , Engr Sulaiman from time to time, occasionally or periodically doled out chunk of funds to the less privileged in the society without considering creed, religion or extraction all through his service and after service.

He single handedly remodelled the final abode for moslems in his village that secured the cemetery from ritualists and all other forms of atrocities hitherto committed by hoodlums.

While in service, he provided renewable energy lights known as “solar” to areas, communities that mitigated crimes and criminalities as well as insecurity including construction of rural roads to assist farmers.

Engineer Haruna without been loud also provided job opportunities to some Nigerians that placed them as bread winners of their families.

For a notable one like this , his name is usually written in gold and not easily forgotten.

As you add another year to your year on earth , our prayers is more years in longevity as you gradually turned octogenarian.
