Transcorp Hilton Abuja Clarifies Water Disruption, Says Supply Restored After One-Day Interruption
The Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports surrounding a recent water supply disruption, stating that the incident was temporary and caused by external maintenance work by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board.
In a statement issued by the hotel’s General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky, management explained that the interruption lasted for only one day and began on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as a result of emergency maintenance carried out by the FCT Water Board.
According to the statement, the hotel immediately activated contingency measures once the disruption was noticed to ensure uninterrupted access to water across its facilities.
These emergency measures, management said, helped sustain guest comfort and ensured that hotel services continued without disruption.
The hotel also refuted social media reports alleging prolonged water shortages, describing such claims as false, inaccurate, and misleading.
Management stated that normal water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, shortly after the maintenance exercise was completed.
Since the restoration, Transcorp Hilton Abuja said it has continued to maintain stable and reliable water supply while operating fully across all its outlets and services.
Zarybnicky expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their patience and understanding, while reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to maintaining high standards of hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience.
