In the pursuit of credible representation, results remain the most dependable measure of leadership. Engr.

Kefas Danladi Laura has distinguished himself not through lofty promises but through tangible achievements that have positively impacted lives and strengthened communities across Nasarawa State, particularly in the western senatorial district.

His record reflects a leader who understands that public office is a responsibility to deliver results, not an avenue for experimentation.
Engr. Kefas’ years in public service, including his involvement in politics, have been marked by purposeful engagement and people-oriented initiatives. From grassroots interventions to efforts that improved access to opportunities, his approach has consistently focused on practical impact.
Speaking during the declaration of his intention to represent Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the Senate, the PDP aspirant emphasized that effective representation goes beyond visibility. According to him, it requires experience, clarity of purpose, and the ability to address complex national issues while remaining connected to local realities.
“These are not abstract achievements; they are real and measurable efforts that have brought about meaningful change for constituents,” he said.
The senatorial hopeful, who also serves as the State Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noted that Karu Local Government remains the only area in Nasarawa West yet to produce a governor or senator.
While calling for unity within the party, the district, and the state at large, Kefas pledged to promote inclusive legislation that would attract greater federal presence to the area.
He also expressed concern that Karu, despite being the highest revenue-generating local government in the state, has not received commensurate attention.
“I have the experience, the quality, and the qualifications required. If given the mandate, I will leverage my exposure and connections to effectively represent our people in the Senate,” he assured.
Kefas further appealed for unity, understanding, and teamwork among party members, stressing that the PDP remains the most formidable and structured platform capable of delivering the dividends of democracy in Nasarawa State despite its challenges.
“We must unite, work together, avoid rumors, and put aside divisive tendencies if we are to reclaim our rightful position as the leading party in Nasarawa State,” he added.
Other key stakeholders who spoke during the declaration events held in Karu and Keffi expressed strong support for Kefas’ candidacy, describing him as reliable and dependable.
They collectively urged party members to remain united, shun individualism, and work together toward achieving their shared goal in the 2027 elections.
