The General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Comrade Alexander Fanafa, has pledged to immediately establish a technical committee to facilitate staff participation in the National Housing Fund (NHF) scheme of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), enabling workers to benefit from the various housing opportunities provided by the scheme.

Fanafa made the pledge when he, alongside other members of the management team, received officials of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria at the company’s corporate headquarters in Makurdi.
He stated that the management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited remains committed to supporting initiatives and programmes that would improve the welfare and living conditions of workers, stressing that staff welfare remains a major priority under his administration.
The General Manager explained that since assuming office, the management had cleared all outstanding salary arrears and ensured that salaries are paid on or before the 23rd of every month. He added that transport support was also introduced to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on workers.
Fanafa further highlighted the payment of seasonal incentives, including Christmas and Easter bonuses, as part of efforts aimed at motivating staff and aligning with the worker-friendly policies of the current administration.
He reiterated his commitment to setting up a technical committee that would facilitate staff participation in the National Housing Fund scheme of the Federal Mortgage Bank, thereby enabling them to access the numerous housing benefits available under the programme.
Earlier, the Manager of the Federal Mortgage Bank, Makurdi Branch, Mr. Godwin Yange, said the team visited the company to introduce the bank’s mortgage products to the management and staff of Benue Links Nigeria Limited.
Yange outlined the different mortgage packages offered by the bank and explained the conditions required for staff to benefit from the schemes. He assured the company that the bank was willing to collaborate with relevant government agencies, welfare schemes, and cooperative societies to help address the housing deficit through accessible mortgage solutions.
A statement signed by the Information Officer of Benue Links, Mr. Johnson Ehi, disclosed that the Federal Mortgage Bank team, which included the Unit Head, Loans, Magdalene Osuman; Unit Head of Finance, Atagher Nyoramo; Loans Unit Staff, Mercy Abdul; and ICT Unit Staff, Bartholomew Ambrose, also responded to questions from the management and provided further clarification on the bank’s mortgage products.
