Nigeria, Qatar Renew Commitment to Stronger Bilateral Ties as Mahmood Yakubu Presents Credentials to Qatar’s Amir

Nigeria’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has formally presented his Letter of Credence to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

The presentation ceremony was conducted with full honours and featured the inspection of a Guard of Honour.
During a private audience, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani warmly welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the longstanding cordial relations between Nigeria and Qatar.
Recalling previous high-level visits between both countries, the Amir reiterated Qatar’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
In his remarks, Ambassador Mahmood Yakubu expressed condolences to the Amir over the recent accident at Ras Laffan Industrial City and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Qatar in trade, investment, education, security and humanitarian affairs.
