Ekiti Polytechnic Hosts Entrepreneurship, Skills Development Programme

Ekiti Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, on Thursday hosted the Federal Government’s YOUWIN Enterprise Education and Free Books Distribution exercise as part of the nationwide initiative.


The programme, which commenced on Wednesday at the institution, focused on creating awareness among students on enterprise education, entrepreneurship and skills development.

Declaring the programme open, the Registrar of the institution, A.Y. Adewumi, commended the Federal Government for promoting skills development among undergraduates, noting that the initiative would guarantee students a brighter and more promising future.
He also reaffirmed the institution’s readiness to partner with governments at all levels on programmes that promote education, entrepreneurship and other relevant initiatives aimed at fostering self-sustenance, self-development and self-reliance among students.
Earlier, the facilitator of the programme urged both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students to embrace entrepreneurship and the opportunities presented by the initiative in order to build a healthy and fulfilling future.
The highlight of the event was the distribution of free enterprise books, documenting successful entrepreneurship stories from across the world.
