New Ai’Agboko Leadership Targets Grassroots Transformation

The Ai’Agboko Community Development Association (ACDA), Abuja Branch, has elected the Head of Corporate Communications at the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), Dr.

Martins Onyilokwu Odeh, as its new Chairman, with a pledge to reposition the association for effective grassroots development across the 11 villages of the Ai’Agboko Clan in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Ogah Akatu. According to the statement, Dr. Odeh, a seasoned journalist who spent 15 years with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), used his inaugural address to express concern over the poor living conditions in communities across Otukpo, noting that many villages lack basic amenities such as potable water, shelter, access roads and healthcare facilities.
The Chairman identified the affected communities as Upu, Edikwu, Asa I, II and III, Akpegede, Ogome, Ebologba, Ojantele, Ikobi, Otobi, Obagaya, as well as Wards 1, 2 and 3 of Otukpo main town. He said the association would work with development partners, affluent individuals and community political leaders to mobilise support for projects that would complement government efforts in addressing the developmental challenges.
Dr. Odeh thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to lead with integrity, fairness, transparency and dedication. He urged members to embrace unity, teamwork and inclusiveness, stressing that meaningful progress could only be achieved through collective commitment. He also paid tribute to the association’s founding members, past leaders and executive officers for laying a solid foundation for the organisation’s growth and development.
He assured members that his administration would remain open to constructive ideas and honest dialogue while working to strengthen the association and improve the welfare of communities within the Ai’Agboko Clan. Dr. Odeh expressed optimism that, with God’s guidance and the support of members, the association would achieve greater milestones in the years ahead.
Other elected executive members include Engr. Owoicho Ammo as Vice Chairman, Ina Ali as Speaker, Emiene Odeh as Chairlady, Ajumi Okidu as Vice-Chairlady, Ogamenyi Ikongbeh as Treasurer, Ugbodu Adakole as Financial Secretary, Emmanuel Odeje as Secretary, Isaac Adakole as Assistant Secretary, and Ogah Akatu as Chief Whip/Public Relations Officer.
