President Bola Tinubu has called for a professional, competent and result-oriented Federal Civil Service capable of translating government policies into measurable outcomes for Nigerians.

The President made the call in Abuja during the presentation of two books authored by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs.
Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
Represented by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Mr. Kingsley Ude, President Tinubu said the Federal Civil Service remained indispensable to the success of his administration, noting that the implementation of government policies, programmes, projects and reforms ultimately depended on an effective public service.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, who also spoke at the event, commended Mrs. Walson-Jack for her career progression and the sacrifices she made in moving from the Bayelsa State Civil Service to the Federal Civil Service.
In her welcome address, Mrs. Walson-Jack said the books were written to document her 34 years of service to Nigeria and preserve lessons from her experiences in public administration.
The event attracted serving and former governors, members of the diplomatic corps, public servants, friends and family members of Mrs. Walson-Jack.
