Niger State: Motorists Decry Persistent Gridlock In And Out Wuya Bridge

Motorists and commuters plying Mokwa – Bida Road in Niger State have expressed concern over persistent traffic gridlock around Wuya bridge in the State.

Some of them who spoke with our correspondent along the road decried the high rate of heavy duty vehicles causing traffic obstruction thereby resulting to loss of productive hours while plying the road.

They therefore called on the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and other relevant agencies to put in place necessary modalities towards reducing the challenges of motorists and commuters in the area.

According to them, urgent attention should also be given to expansion of Wuya bridge to ensure free flow of traffic along Mokwa – Bida Road.

They equally called for the relocation of Wuya market which is causing indiscrimina parking of vehicles and display of products on Federal highway along Mokwa – Bida Road.
