“2027 Is Coming, The Political Narrative Will Change” — Agaba

The candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Obudu State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Agaba, has said his emergence as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election will significantly alter the political equation ahead of the contest.
He also reaffirmed that his emergence would inject fresh energy and ideas into the political landscape, opening a new chapter in the democratic journey of the Obudu State Constituency. According to him, this would give the electorate hope, good legislation, proud representation in the comity of lawmakers, and another credible platform to consider as political activities gather momentum.
Agaba, a politician with considerable political experience and grassroots exposure, stated this while speaking with journalists in Utugwang, Obudu Local Government Area, during the community’s New Yam celebration.
He affirmed that his entrance into the 2027 House of Assembly race would be reassuring.
“Coming with a message centred on inclusive leadership, good legislation, entrenchment of governance, development and a renewed commitment to the people of Obudu and Cross River State, my participation in the state lawmaking would be rewarding and reassuring.”
Agaba, whose candidacy has generated discussions across political circles, particularly among stakeholders who believe the 2027 election should provide an opportunity for the people to carefully assess the records, competence, character and vision of every candidate seeking their mandate, promised to integrate, unite and harmonise all social activities that would galvanise development and unity among the people of Obudu Constituency.
“For the NDC and its growing supporters, I will represent more than just another name on the ballot. My emergence is being projected as a new political option capable of challenging established narratives and broadening the choice available to voters across the streets of Obudu,” the astute politician declared.
It would be recalled that across the Local Government Areas, political realignments and grassroots engagements are intensifying as voters prepare to give Hon. Agaba overwhelming support and votes for good legislation and good governance. His candidacy is therefore changing the conversation and political narrative.
The emerging NDC candidacy has introduced a fresh political proposition and placed the political landscape of Obudu Constituency firmly within the emerging 2027 political calculations.
“As the race gradually gathers momentum, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: the 2027 political equation is no longer business as usual.
