Ankpa Stakeholders Rally Behind QS Aminu Suleiman Ahead of Kogi East Senate Race

On Monday, September 21, 2027, QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, the highly rated senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), officially stepped out of his private business cocoon into the turbulent political environment for the formal commencement of his electioneering consultations with party leadership, stakeholders, members and well-wishers in Ankpa Local Government Area of the state.
At a well-organised and strategic first meeting in Ankpa, QS Aminu expressed his gratitude to all those who participated and contributed in different ways towards his peaceful emergence as the candidate of the ADC in the Kogi East primary elections.
He said the message from the peaceful election was clear: fairness, unity and a shared sense of purpose resulted in the non-controversial primary election exercise. He urged members of the party to exhibit the same character during the campaigns and final elections in Kogi East Senatorial District.
The ADC candidate encouraged the people to also redouble their loyalty, unity and commitment to the success of the party during the January and February 2029 elections, promising the citizens of Kogi East better living conditions after the election.
He believes that the time has come for the Igala/Bassa people to unite and demonstrate love, fairness and understanding with one another, irrespective of political party differences, towards their choice of leadership in the 2027 elections.
At the stakeholders’ meeting, the people of Ankpa, led by Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape, reaffirmed the importance of togetherness and fairness in determining who represents Kogi East in the Senate next year.
He emphasised that, out of the three zones in Kogi East, Ankpa Senatorial Federal Constituency has had its turn in the past, while Dekina Federal Constituency is currently rounding up its turn, pointing out that next year’s turn belongs to Idah Federal Constituency.
In his words, “This is not merely about rotation. It is about fairness, unity and giving every part of Kogi East a sense of belonging in the political process.
And in that spirit, the stakeholders’ support for the success of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman remains unchangeable. We strongly believe he’s credible, experienced and capable of carrying the responsibility of representing Kogi East creditably at the 11th Senate.”
According to Alhaji Enape, “The journey towards the Senatorial 2027 election requires maturity, reconciliation and strategic thinking, as well as unity of purpose. We share a common heritage and responsibilities to protect the political future and legitimate interest of our people.”
Other leaders at the strategic consultative meeting in Ankpa included the State Chairman of ADC, Dr. Tom Zakeri; Mr Farouk Yahaya; Chief Timothy Omora; Vicent Omaga; and others.
