Former Chief of Defence Staff and Chairman of the Middle Belt Forum, Lieutenant General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging Nigerians to vote for him for a second term in office in 2027.

Speaking at the 20th anniversary celebration of the Adamawa State Government House Chapel in Yola, where he donated N250 million, Danjuma described Tinubu as the best choice for Nigerians at this time.

According to him, Tinubu has been fair in the discharge of his responsibilities, particularly in making political appointments, including the consideration of Christians despite running on a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Represented by former Chief of Army Staff, General Ishaya Bamaiyi (rtd), Danjuma cautioned against the possibility of another Fulani person becoming president.

He insisted that allowing another Fulani man to become president in 2027 would take Nigeria back to its dark days, stressing that President Tinubu should be supported.

The retired general urged Nigerians to participate in the 2027 general election, protect their votes and ensure that their choices count.

He also commended those responsible for establishing the chapel, describing it as a visionary initiative that provides a place of worship for Christians working in the Government House and other government offices across the state.
