Security Personnel Arrest Philp Wuhe For Impersonating NSA, CG NFSS
Security Personnel attached to the office of the National Security Adviser have arrested one Philip Wuhe alongside four others for allegedly impersonating the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the leadership of NFSS.
The suspect was arrested at a garden in Area 8, Garki Abuja where he stagged an illegal meeting with some unsuspected Nigerians and the Media on behalf of the Leadership of NFSS.
A lDSS Officer in the office of NSA who confirmed the arrest and pleaded anonymity said a lot of unauthorised documents and other incriminatory materials were recovered from the suspect at the Garden.
In a reaction to the incident, a statement issued to newsmen from the NFSS Leadership in Abuja expresses concern over the unpatriotic attitude of Philp Wuhe and the four others for impersonating theService, the NSA and the Federal Government.
According to the statement, the NFSS case is currently in court and the Commander General has not relinquished his CG’s position to Philip Wuhe as he claimed because it’s only President Bola Tinubu through the office of the NSA that can determine who becomes the CG of NFSS.
The statement therefore advises members of NFSS nationwide to remain calm as necessary steps were being taken to address the issue.
“The National Leadership of NFSS also called on the general public most especially our officers and men in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT is to remain calm and be obedient to all constituted authorities as the Federal Government through the office of the National Security Adviser have already indicated interest through various meetings we had with Government’s officials and at the appropriate time, the Federal Government would get across to us to be part of the nation’s security agencies therefore nobody should claim what has not be given to him or her as regards the activities of NFSS just the way Philip Wuhe is claiming to be Acting CG of NFSS” the statement explains
It equally cautions Nigerians against patronizing the illegal operation of Philip Wuhe noting that he is bent capitalizing on the current challenges in NFSS to exploit money from unsuspecting citizens.
“Nigeria Forest Security Service remain loyal and committed to the office of the National Security Adviser and the Service is ready to be part of national security architecture of the country to enable the Service contribute its quota to the protection of lives and property of Nigerians” the statement adds
