Adeleke Triumphs in Osun, Secures Another Four Years

The victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election has once again reinforced the popular saying that power belongs to the people.

The final results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer for Osun State, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, showed that Adeleke of the Accord Party scored 511,067 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Bola Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 444,815 votes.
The victory brings to an end the palpable tension, conflict and deaths that engulfed the state for several weeks before the poll held on August 15, 2026.
The people have spoken loud and clear that Adeleke has their mandate for another four years to continue bringing joy to their lives through his dance steps and infrastructural development.
The development represents a major leap for democracy, which is government of the people, by the people and for the people.
With the coast now clear, Mr. Adeleke can dance his way to the Government House, Oshogbo. Congratulations to all Nigerians.
