Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has urged political leaders to prioritize the welfare of Nigerians.

Speaking during the confirmation, induction, and admission of women into the Church Mothers’ Guild at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Durumi, Abuja, the Primate highlighted the hardship many citizens are facing due to the global economic downturn.

He called on state and local government authorities to introduce measures that would help alleviate the suffering of the people.

Most Reverend Ndukuba further emphasized the importance of effective monitoring of government programs to ensure citizens benefit from the dividends of democracy.

He maintained that tackling corruption remains crucial, adding that Nigeria would benefit immensely from the Tinubu-led administration’s economic policies if corruption is addressed decisively.

The Anglican Primate encouraged the congregation to continue praying for those in authority and to remain steadfast in promoting national unity.

He also charged the newly admitted members of the Mothers’ Guild to actively engage in evangelism and spread the gospel of Christ.

In his message to Christians, the Primate urged them to love their neighbors and support the less privileged in society.
