A prominent support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has endorsed Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and Senator Sani Musa for another term in office, describing them as deserving of re-election based on their performances and contributions to the development of the state.

The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting of the APC Grassroots Mobilization Network held in Minna on Tuesday.
The group said the decision was informed by the achievements of the two leaders, particularly in governance, infrastructure, and welfare of the people.
In a communique jointly signed by the Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, and the Secretary, Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, Governor Bago was commended for what the group described as transformative leadership since taking office.
According to the communique, the governor has focused on infrastructure development, agricultural transformation, education, healthcare, and security, with visible projects and improvements recorded across the three senatorial districts of the state.
The group also highlighted ongoing road construction projects, urban renewal initiatives in Minna and other towns, as well as efforts aimed at revitalizing agricultural value chains to improve food production and support farmers.
Governor Bago was further praised for attracting investments into the state, improving the ease of doing business, and adopting proactive measures to tackle insecurity through collaboration with security agencies and community engagement.
On Senator Sani Musa, who represents Niger East Senatorial District, the APC group applauded his legislative performance and constituency development programmes.
The statement noted that the senator has provided effective representation through bills and motions addressing important national and state matters, alongside empowerment initiatives and developmental projects across his constituency.
The group also stated that Senator Musa’s support for Governor Bago’s administration has strengthened cooperation between the state and federal government, describing him as a dependable link between both levels of government.
According to the group, replacing the current leadership at this stage could disrupt the progress already made, insisting that Governor Bago and Senator Sani Musa should be given another opportunity to consolidate on their achievements over the next four years.
