Benue: David Olofu Donates N10 Million to Support Pregnant Women, Children at Otukpo Hospital

As part of efforts to improve healthcare services for his constituents, especially pregnant women and children, a frontline contender for the Benue South Senatorial District, Dr.
David Olofu, has donated N10 million to support all pregnant women receiving care at St. Helen’s Specialist Hospital, Otukpo, Benue State.The endowment fund, announced on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, aims to ease the financial challenges faced by expectant mothers, reduce maternal and infant mortality, and enhance access to quality maternal healthcare.
During his visit to the hospital, Olofu emphasized that the wellbeing of women and children remains central to his developmental agenda for Benue South. He noted that the fund would strengthen support for families who struggle with the cost of essential medical services.
He stressed that maternal health is not merely a medical matter but a foundation for building stable families and a stronger society.
