Breaking: Katsina Set to Unveil Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre
By our Correspondent
In a significant blend of politics and technology, Katsina State is preparing for the unveiling of a Digital Innovation Centre aimed at driving youth engagement and amplifying Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s policy initiatives ahead of the governorship election.
The Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, has disclosed plans to commission the Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre, situated at Barhim Estate, Katsina. The centre is designed to leverage digital innovation to promote youth empowerment and strengthen political mobilisation across the state.
The initiative comes at a period when digital platforms are playing an increasingly influential role in political participation, public engagement and electoral processes nationwide.
The centre is expected to serve as a strategic support base for the Tinubu/Dikko movement during the forthcoming presidential and gubernatorial election cycle.
Speaking on Thursday in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the Talent Hunt initiative, Arc. Faisal Jafar Rafindadi, explained that the centre was established as a strategic platform to advance Governor Radda’s vision by actively engaging young people through technology-based programmes.
He noted that the facility would focus on identifying, training and developing digital talents among youths in Katsina, while also mobilising them for campaign-related activities and online civic participation.
“The Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre will function as a hub for digital mobilisation, innovation and youth involvement. Its purpose is to equip young people with essential digital skills while projecting Governor Dikko Radda’s developmental agenda,” Rafindadi stated.
A concept note obtained by our reporter revealed that the centre will concentrate on key areas such as digital campaign planning, social media mobilisation, digital skills development and influencer engagement. It will also host a competitive talent hunt programme to discover and showcase exceptional digital talents across Katsina State.
Beyond its campaign objectives, stakeholders believe the initiative will have a lasting impact on the state’s digital ecosystem by preparing youths with skills relevant to today’s technology-driven economy.
Governor Dikko Radda is expected to officially inaugurate the centre, an event organisers describe as a potential turning point in Katsina’s digital and political space.
Arc. Rafindadi further noted that the unveiling of the Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre represents a major milestone in the governor’s re-election bid, with high expectations that it will enhance youth participation and strengthen overall electoral strategies.
