BREAKING: Tinubu Signs Electoral Act Re-Enactment Bill Into Law

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed the Electoral Act, 2022 (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill 2026 into law, finalising a key legislative process aimed at updating Nigeria’s electoral framework.
The bill was passed on Tuesday by the National Assembly after months of deliberations and clause-by-clause consideration by lawmakers.
The new law is expected to introduce adjustments to existing electoral provisions, though full details of its operational impact are yet to be officially outlined.
