CBIC Marks End of Chinese New Year With Spectacular Robotics Display in Beijing
By Iyojo Ameh
The Chinese Business and Innovation Community (CBIC) has celebrated the conclusion of the Chinese New Year holiday with a remarkable display of advanced robotics technology, showcasing the fusion of traditional culture and modern innovation.
The celebration featured an extraordinary performance organised by Unitree Technology, which deployed 50 G1 humanoid robots in a synchronized martial arts display at the historic Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
The performance followed the widely acclaimed “Wu BOT” Drunken Fist presentation featured at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, further highlighting the company’s growing influence in robotics entertainment and cultural technology integration.
According to organisers, the event was designed to merge ancient cultural heritage with frontier technological innovation. The steel-clad humanoid robots executed highly coordinated martial arts movements, interpreting the elegance and discipline of Chinese Kung Fu through precise mechanical motion.
CBIC clarified that the footage circulating online was not generated using artificial intelligence. The organisation emphasised that the performance was conducted live with physical robots on site, countering speculation that the visuals were produced by video-generation models.
The display was widely promoted as an example of how traditional culture can inspire modern technological advancement while maintaining the solemn beauty of historic landmarks such as the Temple of Heaven.
In its New Year message, CBIC extended goodwill wishes to partners and collaborators, praying for a prosperous start to the work season, sustained productivity and success in upcoming projects.
The community expressed optimism about continued cooperation with innovation partners in the year ahead, pledging to share more technology-driven stories and developments globally.
