The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has applauded the appointment of Ms. Stella Okuzu as the Interim Director of the Royal African Society (RAS) in the United Kingdom.

In a statement issued by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Dabiri-Erewa described the appointment as “well-deserved,” noting Okuzu’s rich background in banking, finance, consultancy, and education spanning over two decades.

Okuzu, who is the Founder and CEO of EDD Finance & Consulting Limited, has held several strategic positions, including Head of Personal and Business Banking at FCMB (UK) Ltd, Non-Executive Director of FastCredit Limited, and Lecturer in Global Strategy and Sustainability at BPP University, London.

Dabiri-Erewa said the new role underscores Okuzu’s commitment to advancing African enterprise, promoting financial inclusion, and building global partnerships. She added that the appointment highlights the excellence of Nigerians in the diaspora, who continue to make significant contributions on the international stage.

NiDCOM extended its congratulations to Okuzu and urged other Nigerians abroad to remain exemplary in their various professions, break barriers, and serve as ambassadors of the country.
