Echocho Mourns Ibrahim Idris, Salutes His Kogi Development Legacy
Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has commiserated with the family of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, over his death, describing the late former governor as a highly accommodating leader whose contributions to the development of Kogi State would be remembered.
Senator Echocho commended the late Alhaji Ibrahim Idris for his commitment to the development of the state during his tenure as governor, noting that several projects executed under his administration continue to stand the test of time.
He cited the Anyigba Central Mosque, Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Greater Water Works in Lokoja, dualisation of Lokoja township road and many other notable infrastructural developments as immediate examples of the late governor’s contributions to the spiritual and infrastructural development of the state.
According to him, the projects reflected the late governor’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people of Kogi State.
The Senator also acknowledged the former governor’s role in creating opportunities for many youths, party leaders and supporters through various contracts and empowerment schemes, describing his contributions to the growth and development of Kogi State as significant.
Senator Isah Jibrin extended his condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Omala Local Government Area, Kogi East Senatorial District, the government and people of Kogi State, and Nigerians at large.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the former governor and asked God to grant his family, friends and associates the strength to bear the loss.
