Face your party crises , stop providing lame opposition — APC tells Nasarawa PDP
By David Odama
The ruling All Progressive Congress APC in Nasarawa state has urged the opposition people’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state to concentrate on resolving its internal crisis ravaging the party rather than desipating emerging on lame opposition.
APC in a statement by the state publicity, High Chief Douglas Otaru while reacting to a statement credited to Nasarawa State PDP and Its Chairman, Mr. Adamu Bako, advised the opposition people’s Democratic party to rather than criticizing the impressive impact the rulling party was making in the state in the area of projects execution, stay mute and face it’s crisis.
It would be recalled that the PDP and it’s leadership had in a statement by Jonathan Ipaa, cautioned President Tinubu ahead his invitation to Nasarawa to commission projects executed by the APC government in the state.
The opposition PDP had in the statement warned the president against coming to inaugurate what the party described as fake and inherited projects outlined by Governor Abdullahi Sule administration.
According to the statement by APC, “The recent statement by the PDP chairman, through its press secretary, Mr. Jonathan Ipaa, cautioning president Bola Ahmed Tinubu against visiting Nasarawa state to
commission projects, is utterly ridiculous and unfortunate.
“Such a statement from a chairman of major opposition party does not only showed that the party and it’s leadership was on life support as well as surviving on falsehood and a clear example of propaganda from a party that has lost its way.
“It’s ironic that a party embroiled in various troubles and litigations would attempt to question the integrity of the legacy projects duly executed by the hardworking administration of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule. The people of Nasarawa State are aware of the progress being made under the APC administration, and they will not be swayed by the PDP’s desperate attempts to discredit the administration”, the statement added.
“The projects in question are real and tangible evidence of the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Nasarawa residents. We urge the public to disregard the PDP’s falsehood and malicious claims and instead focus on the positive impact these projects will have on their lives.
“To the PDP, we strongly advise that they seek forgiveness from God and the people of the state for their past misdeeds and, more importantly, purify the state secretariat, where several atrocities were committed in their desperate quest for power during the last elections.
“It is Only when this is done can you have a party called PDP in Nasarawa State; otherwise, the ghosts of your sins will continue to haunt you.
“The APC remains committed to delivering results-driven governance, and we will not let baseless propaganda distract us from our mission to building a better Nasarawa State”, the statement declared.
