Obika’s Return to APC Seen as Boost to Party’s Fortunes in FCT
By Ekuson Nw’Ogbunka,Abuja
The return of Hon. Chinedu Obika, the legislator representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been described as a major boost to the party’s fortunes in the FCT, as it moves to consolidate its political strength in the territory.
According to the Obika Media Team, the APC officially, warmly and enthusiastically received the lawmaker back into its fold following his formal resignation from the Labour Party.
Hon. Obika’s decision to rejoin the APC, the team noted, is anchored on loyalty, experience and an unshakable commitment to the people of the Federal Capital Territory. His brief stay in the Labour Party was said to have been motivated by a desire to explore a wider democratic space, but his return to the APC affirms where his values, ideology and long-term vision truly align.
With an established record of quality legislation, people-focused projects and effective constituency engagement, Hon. Obika is expected to bring renewed strength, credibility and momentum to the APC in the FCT. His extensive experience as a grassroots politician is seen as a key asset in reconnecting the party with the people, revitalising party structures and expanding APC’s influence across wards and communities.
Political observers believe that Hon. Obika’s return will significantly enhance the APC’s prospects in the FCT, particularly as the party works towards winning elections and delivering on its promises to residents of the territory.
The APC has since welcomed Hon. Obika back into the party, with his return signalling what party members describe as a new era of unity, progress and electoral success in the FCT. With performance as his hallmark and the people as his priority, Hon. Obika is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the party’s fortunes in the Federal Capital Territory.
