A young man identified as Musa has been arrested in Abuja for allegedly killing his mother during a dispute over a ₦40 million inheritance.
Security sources revealed that the incident occurred earlier in the week after Musa reportedly demanded access to the funds, claiming he needed the money to travel abroad for business.

His mother, Nana, was said to have refused the request due to concerns about how the money would be used.
The disagreement allegedly escalated, resulting in her death.
Investigations further indicate that the suspect did not immediately report the incident and remained in the house until he was eventually arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
He was reportedly apprehended after neighbours and security personnel monitoring the area became suspicious of activities around the residence.
The deceased has since been laid to rest following funeral prayers at the National Mosque in Abuja. Family members and residents have described the incident as shocking.
Security agencies are yet to release an official statement, while investigations continue. The suspect remains in DSS custody as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the case.
