The Federal Capital Territory Administration has restated its dedication to driving justice reforms, as Minister Nyesom Wike underscored the essential role of a strong, independent, and efficient judiciary in sustaining peace and stability both in the FCT and across Nigeria.

Speaking at the opening of the 2025/2026 Legal Year of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, Wike highlighted various projects designed to strengthen judicial infrastructure. These include the construction of residential quarters for Heads of Courts, the expansion of the Jabi Magistrate Court Complex, and the development of staff quarters for the Nigerian Law School.

He noted that ensuring judges have comfortable and secure accommodation enables them to deliver timely and effective justice without undue distractions. Wike further emphasized ongoing plans to digitize court proceedings and registries to boost efficiency and minimize delays.

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, commended Wike for his continued support to the judiciary and stressed the significance of safe and adequate housing for judicial officers.
