Breaking News: Top Sokoto Dignitaries Grace Fidda’u Prayer for Late Lawmaker

A host of prominent personalities, including Governor Ahmed Aliyu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Minister Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, and Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga, were present at the third-day Fidda’u prayer held in honour of former Federal House of Representatives member and District Head of Wajake, Muhammad Mai Lato, in Gumbi town, Sokoto.

The prayer session, presided over by Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Sheikh Yahaya na Malam Boyi, paid tribute to the late Mai Lato’s exemplary service as both a legislator and a traditional leader. He died last Thursday after a long illness, survived by three wives and 22 children.

Those in attendance also included Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, alongside APC leaders, commissioners, and several local government chairmen, all gathered to pay their respects to the departed statesman.
