FCT: FRSC Seizes Vehicle of Suspected ‘One Chance’ Syndicate
By Our Correspondent
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Abuja has impounded a Passat saloon car and apprehended three occupants suspected to be involved in a “one chance” operation along Wuse Zone 3 underbridge, where they allegedly attempted to force a victim out of the vehicle.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the FCT Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Felix Theman, explained that the patrol team pursued the suspects as they tried to flee but got trapped in traffic. The suspects then abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot.
According to him, the team caught up with two female suspects, while the male suspect, who tried to scale the wall of a building, was also arrested.
Theman stated that the vehicle and the suspects were taken to the FRSC Sector Command in Zone 7 after the FCT Commissioner of Police was notified. The Commissioner subsequently directed the Wuse Divisional Police Officer to take custody of the suspects for further investigation.
During interrogation, the suspects denied being a “one chance” syndicate but admitted to being involved in 419 activities.
The FCT Sector Commander urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid boarding unregistered vehicles often used for criminal purposes within the territory.

He further assured the public of the Corps’ commitment to ensuring that roads in the FCT remain safe for lawful activities.
