FCT Police Debunk Alleged Assassination Attempt on Naval Officer

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted circulating social media reports claiming that Lt. Ahmed Yerima was the target of an assassination attempt.

In a statement released in Abuja, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, dismissed the allegation as untrue, noting that no incident of such nature had been reported or recorded anywhere within the FCT.

She urged the public to ignore the misinformation and avoid sharing unverified claims that could create unnecessary fear among residents.

Adeh also called on residents to remain alert and to immediately report any suspicious activities to the nearest police division.

The spokesperson reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of all who live in the Federal Capital Territory.
